Cloudy headlights don’t just look bad, they can be dangerous. Although a car’s headlights are great at deflecting stones thanks to being made of a very tough plastic, they aren’t so good at protecting themselves from harsh UV rays. Over time they discolour and become cloudy. Headlight restoration involves:

  • Completely remove the old clear coat (masking around the headlight followed by sanding where required, buffing and clay barring depending on severity of damage). This ensures the residual coating on the surface of the headlight is removed
  • A UV protectant is applied to the headlight which provides the ultimate protection from UV rays
